Soooo I ran a half Marathon last week in Tunbridge Wells. I know it’s astounding stuff! Didn’t quite realise the extent of the hills on the route until I looked at the map on the train… on my way there!! It was probably the toughest challenge I’ve encountered physically to date but I gave it my best shot and came in in 2hrs 4mins! Such a great feeling when I finished it! However I’m only begining to walk properly now as my legs took the hit!!! I only have to double that distance now for the Landan Marathon on 21 April! GO HARD OR GO HOME!! Gerrup owara it! RRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
I would also like to thank the random ppl who gave me jelly babies on the way and also to Sophie for the lend of her Ipod as the music was key especially when it started snowing! Thanks Sophie and also Mumford & Sons (which I had to play on repeat a few times as didn’t have time to stop and change and my fingers were numb! The Little Lion man… I know every word!) Thanks to Rhianna and Pitbull for getting me up a few steep hills!
I also went to visit my charity Hearing Dogs for the Deaf on Saturday in High Wycombe. It was so amazing to meet everyone and meet Robyn the labrador too! People who do things for charity are such nice ppl! We also had a run around the field in the snow, did a bit of yoga, had a lovey pasta dish for lunch and got our T-Shirts, balloons and dog ears hair bands for the marathon.
