So I can’t remember where but I had read about black rice somewhere so I decided to try it. So tonight I cooked black rice and a prawn curry for the first time. Apparently black rice is full of antioxidants, more than blueberries. Emperors were seemingly fond of it back in the day and were the only ones allowed to eat it due to it’s nutritional value. So it’s just one big superfood although it does take about an hour to cook!
