Jenny Conlon is a radio presenter and freelance writer. She completed her Masters in International Journalism in her hometown of Dublin before moving to London in 2010. After 12 years in London, Jenny moved back to Ireland in 2022. 

She was a contributor to Arcadia magazine and travelled to the luxury Alpine resort of St Mortiz in Switzerland to review Suvretta House, a 5 star luxury alpine hideaway. She previously interviewed Irish television presenter and celebrity, Laura Whitmore on the truth behind social media.

Jenny had a feature piece in Time Out London after she walked the street of Northcote Road in Battersea, speaking to all the inspiring independent businesses from a fourth-generation beekeeper to an antique dealer with stories for days. She was the Digital Newsletter Editor for The Harrington Collection, luxury serviced apartments in South Kensington and worked on a freelance basis at Property Week across a number of high profile events.

She was previously the Editor at Time & Leisure magazine in south west London where she interviewed a whole host of high profile individuals which included Liz Earle, Kate Adie, Madeleine Shaw, Monica Gelatti, Ashley Roberts, Julie Montagu and Paul Merrett to name a few.  

During her time at Time & Leisure, she ate her way around Clapham, Battersea and Fulham on a monthly basis where she wrote food reviews on Claude’s Kitchen, WC Clapham, BabaBoom, My Jan, Humble Grape Battersea, Mommi Clapham, Ben’s Canteen, L’ocale Fulham, Sai Restaurant and the Toast Rack in Wandsworth.

She also immersed herself in the art and culture of her local area and met some incredible local heroes including the Artistic Director of multi-award winning theatre, Omnibus Clapham, Head of Rowing at Fulham Reach Boat Club, Battersea’s Affordable Art Fair Director, Sam Gare, photographer Jim Grover who spent 48 Hours of Clapham High Street and an array of highly successful businesses around south west London.  

Jenny contributes regularly to Irish news website, thejournal.ie, writing on topics such as emigration, running a marathon, bodybuilding, strong being the new skinny, the truths and costs of moving to London, jumping out of an aeroplane, dating, Amy Winehouse, anorexia and wedding dresses.

She has written for London Calling Arts on the extraordinary life of the Japanese artist and talent Yoyoi Kusama and on where to find the best places to go from breakfast to brunch in London.

Following the completion of her Masters in International Journalism in Ireland and before moving to London on 23 April 2010, Jenny spent time carving out a radio career and produced and presented a weekly fashion and entertainment show called ‘Girls Talk Back’ on 103.2 Dublin City Fm.  She was also a Newsreader and Editor in the Dublin City Fm newsroom. At the same time, Jenny wrote for Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ and assisted on their national daily news programme Morning Ireland. She also assisted on RTÉ’s weekend talk show, The Business. She wrote a number of film and fashion reviews for RTÉ online.

During her time working in radio, Jenny produced and conducted many Irish radio documentaries which have been aired on Irish midland radio stations such as Beat Fm.   

She interned for a number of months at The Irish Tatler, U Magazine and the Dubliner where she wrote a number of fashion features and articles on successful Irish women in business. She also wrote a lengthy travel piece on her magical travel adventure to Morocco. Her work also featured in The Irish Times, The Irish Independent and World Irish where she discussed the topic of emigration.

In recent years, Jenny has raised a huge amount of money for charity and completed the 2013 & 2015 Virgin London marathon for MS and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and has completed 8 half marathons. She jumped out of a plane, climbed the highest mountain in the UK and walked the entire London tube Northern Line which took 18 hours. This was all in aid of the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
